Inclusive Partners
Recognizing the people and businesses that have supported our mission.
It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a community to raise a special needs child.
Country Denis
Miss Teen Hawai'i International 2022
Country Denis was our first official Inclusive Partner as she willingly offered to volunteer her time to our events, programs, and advocacy. She also was eager to learn more about the Autism condition to hone her advocacy for her brother, Rodeo, who is on the Autism spectrum. She found her voice in the Miss Teen Hawaiʻi International Pageantry program, which offered her an opportunity to advocate internationally with her platform she personally selected, "Autism Acceptance with Aloha."
Kahalu'u Surf and Sea
Surf School
Kahaluʻu Surf & Sea is a local surf shop and school located right across from Kahaluʻu Bay. The owners, Isha Taylor and Ben Callaghan, make it a priority to be at every parade and volunteer for every event, and proudly make monetary donations. Most of all, they have worked extensively with their staff to ensure that each certified lifeguard and instructor is well educated on the Autism condition, and how to accommodate each individual to overcome challenges ranging from transition issues to sensory overwhelm, and they work hard so that our members can enjoy the benefits of the ocean for sensory regulation. They have donated their services by blocking our a private day for our events and have generously donated their time and services to our families. We are proud to select them as our partner.
Yoga Loveʻs Hannah Schuler
Yoga Instructor
Prior to moving to Hawaiʻi, Hannah worked with a nonprofit Ashrams for Autism teaching yoga to individuals on the spectrum. She offered her expertise and donated her services to our families in a group yoga event, and customized multiple sessions to meet the sensory needs of each attendee.
